The perfect starting point for children aged 4-8. Played on a small tennis court with a soft ball that has a low bounce, it provides the perfect opportunity for young players to learn the basics and have fun! The shorter rackets used help players develop different types of shots and work on their hand-eye coordination. Kids start learning shapes of shots such as overarm serves, volleys, ground strokes and learn how to rally. They will develop co-ordination, balance, speed and agility. They will be using soft balls on smaller courts and be introduced into competition

For older players, emphasis is placed on developing players’ all-round game, building on the technique and tactics. The tennis courts and rackets are bigger and the tennis balls are not as soft as the red balls, resulting in more bounce. Players will be introduced to game play, sportsmanship and leadership. They will know the rules of the game, patterns of play and understand the importance of competition.
